The Kaminsky & Associates course titled The Administration, Management and Supervision of Field Training & Evaluation Programs is designed for those participants who are agency administrators and FTO Program managers/supervisors.
It is not a course for individuals who wish to know the basic elements of the field training concept, San Jose model.
Kaminsky & Associates conducts other programs that may be better suited to the student than this one. They are Developing and Implementing the Field Training Concept (for those interested in the rudimentary aspects of field training) and our Basic Field Training Officer Seminar. The latter course is designed to train the Field Training Officer, his/her supervisor and others in all aspects of evaluation and training.
The approach to this course is indeed unique! Applicants for admission are mailed a pre-program questionnaire which lists a variety of field training issues that are known to exist. The questionnaire is formatted so that each respondent may indicate which of the issues are of concern to them and/or their organization and in a priority order. It is from the responses to these questionnaires that the curriculum for the course is developed. In this way, each program is "customized" for that program's participants.
The course is three days in length and is limited to an enrollment of 30 students.
